The idea
What does Kaal mean?
Kaal (काल) is the Hindi and Sanskrit word for "time". It is the first half of KALREKHA, कालरेखा: kaal means time, and rekha (रेखा) a line. Together they mean the line of time.
The KAAL tee draws that idea literally: the phases of the moon, one of the oldest ways people have measured time, set along a single vertical line. It is the only light tee in the first collection, printed on bone.
